couples we love: nat & ross
Share

Married since 2000, Nat & Ross share the kind of love and partnership that feels like one in a billion.
How did you meet?
Ross and I first met when he came into the deli I worked in. He came every day after the gym for peanut butter toast. He would ask for me and wait until I was available (I made everything as though I was eating it, always hot and buttery). We would chat about all aspects of Tuesdays Epicurean in The Age newspaper (the food bible) as I was in hospitality (I had 4 jobs at the time, which he found admirable). He said one day
'Have you heard of the Wine Room, at The George St Kilda ?'..and I said 'No, but if that is an invitation I accept!!!’
The following night we went for dinner and the rest is history… 30 years later Peanut butter is a theme in our lives.

N: I love and admire Ross’s strength both physically (best arms) and mentally, he is a living breathing sensei. I love his attitude, understanding and view of life. He is very philosophical but also pragmatic plus he is my very own walking encyclopaedia. He is passionate about planting and growing things from seed in the garden which also reflects his way of doing business. But the part of him that loves and nurtures our girls as their dada is so bloody honourable and humbling to watch (in this day and age). He would say it’s the only thing that matters to him. He is an outstanding soul. My life partner of 25 years and it just gets better and better as we are loving growing old together.
